Frequently asked questions
A: At KINDER, our services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, and the pricing varies accordingly. To provide you with an accurate quote, we require an initial consultation where we can assess your specific needs and determine the most appropriate plan. Please schedule a consultation with us, and we will be happy to discuss the cost based on the services required.
A: Every session is personalized to the client. That said, a typical session starts with a check-in and an establishment of agenda/goals for the sessions. We then work on those goals by creating exercises, using the client's school materials, or discussing strategies to build progress. Client's often leave with a sense of next steps, improved confidence for independence, or tools to use outside of session.
A: As with all personal work, the timeline is highly variable. For educational therapy/coaching, typically, clients who are highly motivated, practice skills outside of session, and keep consistent with services require fewer sessions or terminate after a few months to a year. However, more complex cases often benefit longer-term support.
That said, our goal is to safely launch you or your student when they successfully develop the resilience to manage as independently as possible.
Communication with teachers, therapists, psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, and parents are fundamental elements to providing quality support. KINDER providers collaborate on a regular basis to ensure that we are carrying over skills. We also attend IEP/504 meetings and advocate for our clients to ensure they can be successful in their natural environment.
Virtual sessions improve individuals' access. Coaches are flexible with care delivery to ensure that clients are engaged and able to gain from sessions. Our policy is that, as long as what the client is doing is safe and does not impede learning, it is allowed.
Interactive screen-sharing, white-boarding, and annotation allow for hands-on engagement. During our consultation, we will discuss what works best for you or your student.
